Wow I am really sorry for being missing for so long... I have been running though, even if it has just been on the treadmill. I had track practice on Tuesday and am going to be on it tomorrow as well. I did approximately a 4.5 mile run on Saturday in a big park about ten miles from my house. On Tuesday I ran a 6x400 meters with some of the team. I did not have my watch on me so I was unable to get my times.
I did make sure to go harder on the last half compared to the first half.
I will be sure to be more up to date on my updates of runs.
As a person that is not typically very dedicated towards many things I feel like creating something that will showcase my dedication towards running will keep me focused on my goal of running every day for the next 365 days. Wish me luck.

Today I did another treadmill run hays. That's okay though because it was a super easy today run today, I did only 1.5 miles today in a time of 12:24.
Tomorrow morning I would like to go for a run but I need to be at work at seven so that might not happen... wish me luck haha

Today I ran on the treadmill again. I made sure to incline the treadmill so that I got a better workout and kept it at a reasonable pace. Unfortunately, I kept unplugging the safety on the treadmill three times and it erased the data for my run each time.
I am estimating the distance that I covered and the time that I ran but I believe them to be very close to the real numbers. I ran about 2.4 miles in about 18 minutes with about a 3% incline with a slight increase in incline later on.
At first I really didn't want to run today because of how tired I am and I had a headache because of my lack of sleep. Staying up late and waking up early for work isn't very fun... haha. When school starts on Monday I am going to definitely going to have to get to sleep earlier.

First day on the treadmill and it honestly wasn't as bad as I remembered. This time though I raised the incline of the treadmill to enhance the workout; typically treadmills work the muscles a lot differently than running outside because a runners stride changes and because of the moving surface. To compensate, increasing the incline of the treadmill slightly (2-3 degrees will do fine) will help to work you out better.
I ran about a mile, at first with the incline maxed out, that might have been a bit of a mistake, then at about a 5% grade. I did not record my time but it was probably in between 8 and 9 minutes.
Then I did 10 push ups and 25 sit ups.
I ran another mile with about a 5% grade; the total distance that I covered was 2.154 miles in 18:58 minutes.
I did another set of 10 push ups and 25 sit ups.
For a cool down I jogged 3/4 of a mile in about 8 minutes.
This workout was a pretty good one, nothing like being outdoors but it is still better than nothing right?

Today I went out pretty late, it was already dark so I went out to the local college for an interval style workout to work on my lung capacity.
I jogged for a mile as a warm up in 7:11. Then I stretched, making it 10:11.
My workout then consisted of a 6x400 with rests in between.

Today I did a short run, 2.77 miles according to mapmyrun. After a warm up of about three minutes I ran it in 18:45 which is a decent pace for me. I have a lot of room for improvement though. Well, this is going to be the first of many runs that will not be the best for me this coming year. Anyone have tips to increase VO2 max? Because that was one of my problems for sure.
I warmed up with a half mile jog and took off. When I got back I didn't feel too good because my chest felt very tight. I cooled down with a light jog and a lot of little exercises too get my body into a resting state. After that I did some light stretching.

Day 1
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." I've heard this quote multiple times and I feel that it is really relevant to me and this adventure that I am about to embark on. I am training for track and cross country, for my health, and for a stress reliever. My goal is to run every day for the next year, I've tried this once before but I only lasted two and a half months. This year is going to be different.
